Oxford Hawks are delighted to have been awarded “Sports Club of the Year” at the 2013 Oxfordshire Sports Awards! The club has been recognised for its outstanding achievements in 2013, some of which are listed below:
- 8 from 16 adult teams winning their leagues or being promoted
- Many junior sides reaching finals at regional and national level
- Success at individual level with Hawks juniors represented at all levels of the Single System right up to National Age Group squads
- Significant increase in player numbers in both adult and junior sections, supported by the introduction of new teams and more coaches
- Back to Hockey sessions run every week, and regular Rush Hockey tournaments
- Multiple links with local schools and businesses
- And more…
We recognise that all these achievements could not have happened without the support and commitment from all of our members – so thank you. The success of 2013 has been a great TEAM EFFORT and we are delighted and proud to have recognised with this award!
