How to beat the car sharing ban!
by Paul David Smith
Huge credit must go to West Hampstead - the opposition travelled to Oxford via train, overcoming the travel restrictions recently imposed by the UK government. We are less likely to forgive them for beating Men's 4s in the final minute of the game. For the full story, see the match report.
As you may already know:
"In a tier 2 or tier 3 area, car sharing is not permitted with someone from outside your household or your support bubble unless your journey is undertaken for an exempt reason."
Unfortunately hockey is not an exempt reason! This therefore means there can be no car sharing for travel to hockey, which may cause you issues for travel to away games. Some leagues have already cancelled matches planned for December due to this, but others with more local matches are continuing. Please just work with your captain on any issues you may have regarding this.
