Fantasy League – The Result!

The competition is OVER! And it was Colin Burrell whose Kingston Bagpuss Vet held on to take the £40 1st prize! In second was Charlie Warner’s Light Work, and club legend John ‘H’ Kaluza yet again was near the top, taking home the tenner for third. Amy Olah’s Hockey Horror Show proved to be just that as she took the wooden spoon for 92nd and last place.

On the players’ front, the prize for top scoring player went to Ed Baldock! Jack Biggs in second and Buzz Burrell in third. Other prizes for top score in any one game went to Jack Biggs for his 39 points (4 goals, MOM, 8-4 win), and Best Value player (most points per pound of cost) was Andy Sumser, with 128 points for his £2 price tag.

Dream Team For the Season (the best possible ‘legal’ team you could have bought)

Congrats!

For all the scores and stats, have a look at www.oxfordhawks.co.uk/fantasyleague. Finally, a HUGE thank you to Jon Elkins for doing all the clever stuff behind the scenes – the set up on our Club Website to make this all work is very very clever, and we are very grateful for Jon for all his hard work on this. Thank you also to Phil Williams for taking on the organisation and running of the league this year, and finally to all the Captains for entering all their match details each week. See you next year!
