U18 Boys reach quarter final of the plate

  • U18 Boys February 2017 001

The Boys U18's squad made a very early start to get down to Exeter for the Quarter Final match of the Hockey Cup plate against Ashmoor Hockey Club.  Due to the half term break and impending A level mocks Hawks fielded a mainly younger side.  In a competitive game, which was well supported  by travelling parents and some of the O50's who were playing later in the day, Hawks lost 2-1 and were unlucky to not get a better result as they had the majority of possession and territory in the second half.  Hawks goal came from a well worked open play passage with guest player Harry Simmons (Banbury HC) finishing off.  To reach the Quarter Final is a a great achievement in itself and we look forward to pushing up a gear in our last league fixtures against Wycombe on Sunday and Teddington later in the month.
