Ladies' Summer League Results
Hawks entered four teams into this year's summer league competition, with players from L1s to L6s jumbled up across the squads for a feast of fun (but competitive) hockey.
Hawks Summer A and D did really well, coming second and third respectively in Pool A. But it was Hawks Summer C, very ably captained by Megan Hope, who absolutely stormed the competition, with 7 wins from 7 in Pool B, then convincingly winning the semi-final against Hawks A to make the final with a 100% record.
Hopes were high, therefore, as an expectant crowd gathered on finals day at BRN to watch Hawks Summer C play against Banbury Summer B - especially as Hawks had been victorious in their earlier pool match. Despite a closely fought match, the result went Banbury's way in the final - but medals all round, and a great winning streak for Hawks that bodes well for the coming season.
Many thanks to Henri for her awesome competition-organising prowess, the 10 weeks of summer league being greatly enjoyed by 16 teams.
