Oxford Hawks made the journey over to Bristol keen to build on their good performance from last week. They started strong and scored after five minutes with Abi Flory using her pace to drive down the right, cleverly squaring the ball to Becky Odlin for a crisp finish. Ten minutes later, they doubled their lead with a perfect corner routine finished by Lucy Stewart. It wasn't all one way traffic however, with the home side hitting the post, and Hawks goalkeeper Jess Hudson making some top class saves.
In the second half Hawks continued to play well, with Charlotte Crampton-Smith outstanding on her debut. Her hard work was rewarded ten minutes in, when Lex Thomas drove around the top of the area; her shot was well saved but Crampton-Smith was on hand to pick up the rebound. Minutes later, Hawks killed the game off with Takara Haines driving through midfield, passing unselfishly to Stewart who fired the ball into the roof of the net. Firebrands continued to apply some pressure but it wasn't enough to make a difference and the score remained 4-0.
