Oxford Hawks made the long journey to Wales to face Swansea, but came home empty-handed after a bad day at the office. The game lacked goalmouth action, mainly being played in the middle of the pitch, and it stayed goalless for the first half. Swansea came out strong in the second half and opened the scoring with a one-two through the middle ending in the centre forward deflecting the ball into the corner. Hawks responded well and kept up the intensity, but were struggling to make connections as Swansea defended well, limiting their options. They almost levelled midway through the half as Rosie Atkinson pounced on a defensive error, but her effort was well saved by the Swansea keeper. Hawks continued to push forward but were unable to convert and time ran down to leave them empty-handed.
