Hawks Mens 1’s took on Chichester in the last game of the season. With a number of absences Hawks fielded nine players under nineteen. Several players making their first team debuts, Sam Chilvers and Joe Brownill making their last appearance for Hawks before leaving for University next year. The game started brightly, Hawks naturally taking a defensive shape limiting Chichester to a number of opportunities. Captain Nick Lamb led from the front thwarting every attack down the middle. Chichester went ahead after 15 mins when a short corner was drilled into the bottom corner. Hawks defended the final third limiting Chichester to a few D entries, a speculative smash into the Hawks D hit a foot, the resulting short corner was again drilled into the corner. With two goals down, Hawks could have imploded but with character they fought back with several short corners of their own.
