Ladies' 5s lose to lowly Windsor

02 March 2013, 10:30, Banbury Road North (Top)

Ladies' 5s 4 - 5 Windsor Royalists Ladies 1s

We started the game with a great and positive attitude. Unfortunately Windsor managed to get an early goal. We immediately came back with a goal scored by Bernadette Wagerfield.  Windsor then retailiated strongly and scored another goal. We also came back fighting but the goal was disallowed even though the offence took place after the goal was scored. Windsor then scored another goal making it 3-1. But we came back stronger and worked a lot harder in the last five minutes and managed to score two great goals by Lissy and Lotty.  The second half ended with the score 3-3.

In second half we began slowly and Windsor managed to score with in the first 30 seconds. They then got another goal making it 5-3. We then converted a short corner which was taken by Bernadette with Lissy picking up the rebound and scoring a lovely goal to make it 5-4
We did come back stronger and wanted to score again.  We had many opportunities to score but failed to do so.  So we were unlucky to finish the game with a loss of 5-4 to Windsor.

Izzy was awarded player of the match for her excellent game.
