Mid table Aylesbury came to Hawks looking for a win after a couple of draws. However the Ladies 2s were out of the blocks very quickly scoring 3 goals in the first 15 minutes to give them the ideal start to the match, with goals from Helen Nicholson, Lucy Millington and George Jefferies.
Aylesbury gave Hawks a couple of scares but were unable to convert their chances. As the first half came to a close, the Ladies 2s played some lovely hockey and created a number of chances in the D.
In the second half, Man of the Match Emily Smith scored a well deserved hattrick, either side of Hawks' 7th goal from Molly Warne after a good move from Jo Tolson down the right hand side of the pitch.
Aylesbury always looked dangerous on the break but a combination of strong defence from Sue and Sally Clark and some great shot stopping from Linda Billington meant the ladies 2s kept a clean sheet. The final score was 8-0 meaning that the Ladies 2s maintain their position at the top of the table - now with a healthy goal difference.
