U14 Boys v Banbury Hawks win 2-0 on an icy cold day

24 February 2013

U14 Boys 2 - 0 Banbury U14 Boys

A big thank you to all the boys for turning up on such a perishingly cold day and then securing a good 2-0 victory against Banbury. It was a hard pitch and the hands were cold.  We took the game to Banbury from the start and dominated the midfield.  Toby Maclachlan, Jake Taylor, Freddie Sunderland and Ed Wilkinson passed the ball well and linked up with our forward (John Black, Harry V (scorer of both goals in the first half), James Dee and Cameron Beazley - Clarke providing some incisive balls driven in from the base line.  At the back James Wells, Lukas Ehlers, Noah Smith and Conor Whelan kept any attacks at bay with strong clearances when we needed them. Harley Weekes had a quite 1st half in goal with only the odd Banbury incursion, whislt William Hackett had a bit more to do in the 2nd half with some strong clearances.

Thanks to our umpires John Black and David Wells and to Anna Weekes for providing donuts for post match revival.
