The Falcons blew Reading Vets away with a superb performance in the late game at Banbury Road North. Phil Dunnill ran through the Reading defence and shot firmly past the hard worked Reading keeper. Peter Bennett doubled the score before a great run and pass by Giles Roper set Dave Hughes up for an easy tap in.
Phil Dunnill slotted his 12th goal of the season from a well struck short corner and the Falcons reached the break well in control and keeper Richard Wilsden had not even touched the ball!
The second half started with the Falcons needing 1 goal for 100 for the season - this soon came courtesy of Steve Griffiths who lifted the ball into net after the Reading keeper saved well from Peter Bennett.
Steve Griffiths added 2 more goals and Dave Hughes did the same to both complete hat tricks as the Falcons scored 5 in 5 minutes. Peter Bennett made it 10 and goals by John Black, Russell Warner and an own goal completed the scoring.
Great performance by the Falcons who played superb hockey throughout and a return to form for Ian Sobey who deservedly won man of the match for his skilful wing play.
