The Falcons started slowly and struggled at first to get the first goal in the game against lowly Woking PTE. The first goal was scored by Phil Dunnill from one of the numerous short corners given away by visitors. He slammed a direct shot into the bottom left corner. Peter Bennett's direct running was rewarded as he shot past the excellent Woking keeper. Phil scored a third from another short corner but in truth his wayward shot was deflected in by the unfortunate defender. The Falcons scored the best goal with fine move involving Phil Dunnill passing the Steve Griffiths on the wing whose first time cross was deflected by the Skipper Dave Hughes diving in at the far post.
The second half involved some changes and this allowed Woking the pull two goals back. The Falcons added to their score with two more goals from Peter Bennett to complete his hat trick and Mark Crampton-Smith score in between from a short corner and hit his shot high into the net. There was still time for Peter Bennett to have his mazy run stopped by illegal tackle and the resultant stroke scored confidently by Rogan Meadows into the bottom right corner.
