Hawks L4s played their final game of the season in the chilly sunshine at BRN against local rivals Thame 2s. As the league positions would be unaffected by this game, the brief was to go out and enjoy the game. Maybe this relaxed the team too much as Thame were swiftly up by 4 goals as the Hawks defence had decided they'd worked hard enough last week. Fortunately the attack were determined to put into practice the drills from training. The first goal came from a well worked pass by the midfield to Charlotte up front. She drew the defender before slipping to Molly who cooly slotted it pass the keeper.
The half time sweets and positional diagram with the practice balls were much appreciated to re-focus the team. Thame though managed a couple more goals before Rebecca laid claim to Hawks’ second of the match. This upset Thame for some reason and they decided to claim a few more goals. Hawks had the last word though. After the midfield had worked the ball down the right hand side of the pitch, Vicky made a sublime pass across the D to Kim, waiting on the P spot, who smashed it into the net. POM went to Yasmin for her hard work on the inner line.
