Fantastic Win for Hawks Ladies 7s

Ladies' 7s 6 - 0 Milton Keynes Samurai
Hawks 7’s were out in full force today with a full team including 4 subs for the first time this season. It was great to watch the team effort and excellent passing and shooting.
Milton Keynes put up a challenging first half with the game remaining scoreless until the 24th minute. Jess was the first to score and it was great to see the 7s' captain get us off to a flying start. Libby then scored again in the 29th minute taking the score to 2-0 at the end of the first half.
The rain unfortunately didn’t stay away and as the whistle went to begin the second half the heavens opened. This didn’t dampen the mood of the ladies and Poppy was quick to score the smoothest goal after a minute and a half of the whistle. The forwards were on fire during the second half with amazing support from the rest of the team and Poppy and Juliette played like the dynamic duo to pass the ball back and forth for Juliette to score in the 3rd minute and then Poppy to score again with a beautiful fast strike to hit the back of the net a mere 3 minutes later. Juliette was able to score her second goal in the 22nd minute to take Hawks to 6-0, this score line remained the final score.
A fantastic team effort today with several nominations for player of the match but today it was Poppy who came out on top. Well done one and all.
