On a very wet cold windy day at High Wycombe, Ladies' 8s bravely faced High Wycombe with no subs. The game was very evenly balanced, with lots of good passing manoeuvres and passing down the wing, along with some good saves from our goalie. There were great tackles from the defenders, and a sneaky goal was scored by Liv. (She was playing well despite being in pain from last weeks’ injury).  However, they got one back so the score at half-time was 1 – 1.

At half time the team talk was inspiring, especially in the cold weather. In the last 10 minutes they were awarded a short corner, and a goal was scored. The final score was a well contested, hard fought 2 - 1 to Wycombe.

There were nominations for player of the match for Holly, Niv, Rachel and Gill.  The winner was Sophie Ackland playing for us for the first time.

Thanks to Tim Dabbs for taking the photos.
