Windsor arrived at BRN in top spot in the league by virtue of having played more games but with both sides unbeaten.
Windsor started fast and Falcons took time to settle, so no surprise when Windsor went 1-0 from an early penalty stroke.
Falcons responded and settled in to their own game, solid defence by Blommers Andy Kaye, Jonesy, Hutts and Dutch Heinrich switching play to create space and with Gary Mahon, Tony Robertson and Pablo controlling midfield they began to create some chances for Buzz, Boots, Richard Venables and Andy Sumser up front.
In a strong 15 minute spell Hawks scored 4 goals from Pablo, Sumser, Buzz and Boots and then just before half time Pablo added a second with a stunning piece of play also involving Boots and Tony Robertson. 5-1 at half-time was more than expected and good reward for some excellent game play.
Second half saw a few strong tackles and a few cards, Windsor slightly ahead in that count, unfortunately for them and it was whilst they were down to ten men that Buzz added a sixth goal for the home side with a good flick beyond the visiting goalie.
Both Buzz and Boots picked up knocks which we hope will heal ahead of tomorrow's cup-tie against Reading, but at least for now the team are rewarded with top spot in the table.
Next week should see the rescheduled home game against third place Epsom before a well earned Christmas break.
