A second ‘allwhite’ away win for L6s secured!

20 November 2021, 10:30, Woughton Playing Fields

Ladies' 6s 2 - 0 Milton Keynes Ladies 3s

On a dry cloudy, Saturday morning, the 6’s played Milton Keynes 3’s. Play started quickly, and we moved the play into Milton Keynes defensive half. Before we knew it, Marion struck home and we were one nil up within 5 minutes. In the rest of the first half we maintained good possession with good passing between the whole team. We had a couple of chances but the score remained one nil at half time.

In the second half, whilst Milton Keynes had a few chances to break through our midfield, they were stopped by great defensive play. Teyha did an amazing save, by stopping a high ball coming at her towards the goal. She jumped up and deflected the ball downwards with her arm, clearing the ball out of the D. We had many attempts on the Milton Keynes goal but we just couldn’t get the ball past the keeper. Finally, we had a breakthrough and Hawks scored a second goal. However, it was not blown as the umpires didn’t see it cross the line. It wasn’t a problem as shortly after Marion hit the ball into the goal securing her second goal of the match. The final score was 2-0 to Hawks. Player of the match was a awarded to Jess and Yas, who both had an amazing game.
