Another injury and another 2-1 defeat for L6s

13 November 2021, 10:00, Banbury Road North (Near)

Ladies' 6s 1 - 2 Banbury Ladies 3s

On Saturday morning we entertained a strong Banbury side.

The first half was frustrating in that we felt over run in the middle of the field and couldn’t break get through their midfield. As a result Banbury 3s were able to score twice without any reply and the L6s were a ‘man’ down as Angie took a hard hit ball direct to her foot.

With ice packs at the ready and some wise words at halftime Hawks were able to bring more of a fight to the second half and sneaked one back from a penalty corner and an edge of the circle shot from birthday girl Yas. Unfortunately despite plenty of chances we couldn’t get a second and with some great goal keeping from Teyha were actually lucky to keep the score to 1-2.

Following a trip to A&E on Sunday Angie’s foot was found to be broken and a bit displaced - we wish her a speedy recovery.
