Chloe Scragg is hero of the day as she dons the GK kit

The ladies 3s travelled to Reading for today’s league fixture. There was a rocky start to the game as the goalie unfortunately had to pull out for health reasons, however, Chloe Scragg stepped up to the opportunity and volunteered to play in goal.  

Hawks started strong with lots of possession, however Reading were able to convert their opportunities into goals with it being 2-0 at half time. Spirits were still high in the Hawks team at half time due to a great team performance in the first half. Unfortunately, the second half saw Reading score another 4 goals, resulting in a 6-0 loss.

However, there were many positives to take away from that game, for example, Hawks not conceding any defensive short corners and the ladies’ resilience to play through a difficult game. A big shout out to Chloe Scragg for going in goal, it was a well-deserved MOM.
