Falcons make it three wins from three - even with only ten men

Falcons 8 - 0 Winchester Men's Vets I
With a multitude of injuries and unavailable players, Falcons still managed to field a strong looking team of ten players against a Winchester team who had managed to field a full team for the first time this season.
Falcons dominated from the start and it took only minutes for skipper Colin Burrell to put the away team ahead. This only served as the catalyst and a rampant O50's side added 5 more goals in the first half, David White adding one on his return from holiday and both Simon Dawson and Mark White added two each.
The defence of Jones, Kaye, Billington and Blomley were rarely troubled and Blomley and Billington were able to provide additional width and support freeing Mark White and Buzz to join in with Boots and Whitey up front. Tony Robertson controlling and orchestrating play from central midfield gave the team the stability to mount attack after attack.
Winchester rallied in the second half and a slight formation change gave them a more stable footing, but the rare attack was thwarted by defence and Wilsdon in goal. Both Boots and Mark White completed their hat-tricks and the game ended with an 8-0 victory but a much stronger second half for the home team.
Falcons now look forward to a home fixture against Trojans next week and hope to keep the winning streak going.
