Falcons dominated a first half with a strong defence of Warner, Jones, Kaye and Dunleavy, with Atkins in goal enabling the midfield and forwards to play their passing game and open up the 7's.

Andy Sumser playing in a new role at the bottom of the diamond stopped the direct route the 7's enjoyed in game 1 and gave opportunities for great interplay between Hutts, Boots, Ferret and Mark White, which in turn led to goals by David White, Nige Dogget and skipper Buzz Burrell meaning the Falcons went in at half-time with a deserved 3-0 lead.

The 7's led and martialed by his Lordship Richard Venables started the second half with a gusto that drew into question what was actually in their half-time sustenance and they were rewarded with a goal that gave hope to their cause in the second half.

David White then struck to restore the margin, only to see the 7's score again when a 3 on 2 attack saw Burrell and Atkins in goal isolated and the attempted pass interception by the skipper only falling to the spare 7's player who pushed the ball into the open net.

Not to be denied his hat trick, David White once again restored the lead with a cracking strike on the half-volley which edged out Andy Sumser in the man of the match decision!

Another passionate game between the two sides edged by the Falcons lines up the next game in a fortnight with 7's keen for revenge!
