Ladies' 1s 0 - 0 Trojans Ladies 1s
Oxford Hawks travelled down the A34 to play a triangular against Trojans and Gloucester, both in the Division 1 of the National League. Their first game was against Trojans who looked dangerous up front but were not able to take some early chances. Hawks settled into the game and played some lovely passing hockey all over the pitch, with newcomers Jemima Spurr, Lexie Spurr, Rosie Evans and Keelie Perham slotting in brilliantly. Emily Smith almost opened the scoring after some good build up play from Catherine Reaney and Jess Madden-Waite on her debut for the 1s. Smith received the ball at the top of the D but her strike, bound for the top left corner, was saved by an outstanding diving save. Both sides had chances but some good saves from Olivia Clark, returning to Hawks after finishing university, kept the scoresheet goalless to the end.
