Another home defeat for the Ladies 6s

14 March 2020, 10:00, Banbury Road North (Near)

Ladies' 6s 0 - 4 Aylesbury Ladies 2s

We put up a good front to Aylesbury with our forwards getting a few shots in the first half and our defence working very hard against countless short corners. Unfortunately despite everyone’s hard work Aylesbury got 2 goals in the first half. A great team talk at half time brought us out fighting much harder in the second half, resulting in much more possession and dynamic play, creating some great runs. All of which resulted in a few shots on goal, but sadly we couldn’t convert any to get the goal we deserved. At the other end Aylesbury took their chances to double their halftime score. It could have been many more but thanks to Iona who was working so hard she kept out so many other shots on goal from Aylesbury. As a result she was voted player of the match - much deserved. A tough 4-0 loss but excellent teamwork and positivity as always from the 6s.

Thanks to our umpires Charlie and Hugh and to Bella for her tasty post match snacks.
