This weekend the 5s decided to try their hand at underwater hockey (octopush) in Henley, and despite the result I'm not sure we'd give it another go.
A solid first half offered the 5s some good chances with good passing taking us into the oppo 25 several times, unfortunately with no reward. Slightly more concerning, was when Foggy took a knock and then went down a second time, before being taken to receive medical attention. Frustrated but not perturbed, we went into the second half eager to capitalise on a dominant display.
It didn't take long.
The first came after a short corner was won, which was succinctly battered straight through the keeper's legs by Bootsy. 1-0 Hawks. Not wanting to lose momentum, the 5s went straight back in the attack, with some penetrative passing tearing through the Henley defence, before Ed Baldock found Christoph around the backpost, which led to a very emphatic flick into the top left. 2-0 Hawks. A third came in much the same manner, with some very controlled possession before Jonty managed to find Will in front of an open goal. 3-0 Hawks. Finally, a superb individual goal from debutant Sam, who weaved his way into space in the D before firing the final nail into the coffin. 4-0 Hawks.
A very assertive and positive game from the Hawks, sees them more comfortably sat in 2nd in the league and sets us up well for the remainder of the season.
