Girls’ U14 A team lose out in the dying minutes of the game

02 February 2020

U14 Girls A 2 - 3 Wallingford U14 Girls

The Girls’U14 team travelled to Wallingford on Sunday for what we knew would be a tough, but close fixture. The first half was pretty even, with both sides playing some good hockey as well as making mistakes. Wallingford had lots of shots on goal, but Trin made some great saves. Molly put us up with a good goal from a short corner - 1-0 at half time.

The second half was even more closely fought and Wallingford came back with their first goal. Teams were playing well and running hard. Amelia scored a great goal shortly after coming off the bench to put us 2-1 up. Unfortunately we lost our shape a bit and things got scrappy. Wallingford equalised and it looked as though it would be a fair draw. Unfortunately we conceded a goal in the dying minutes to go down 2-3.

Trinity was named PoM for her awesome performance in goal.
