U14 Girls' B team beaten by Banbury

12 January 2020, 15:00, Banbury Road North (Near)

U14 Girls B 1 - 4 Banbury U14 Girls

The skies were clear and perfect for play. Banbury started strongly, attacking the D with some great defending from Hawks and excellent saves by our goalie. Banbury took advantage of a short corner and had scored 2 goals by half time.

Hawks started the second half energised, despite it beginning to get cold and dark. We fought back with more ball possession, pushing through the defence which allowed Gina to score a well deserved goal.

Banbury went back on the attack with a number of attempts and managed to push through 2 more goals. In the last 10 minutes our girls were back in the D with a few close shots just before the whistle.

It was a tough match and our girls worked hard despite Banbury’s 4 - 1 win.

Our player of the match was Sarah, for her great defending.
