L4s' momentum is ended by Oxford L3s

25 January 2020, 10:00, Banbury Road North (Near)

Ladies' 4s 0 - 2 Oxford Ladies 3s

Game faces were on for a big match against local rivals Oxford on Saturday for Hawks Ladies 4s, meaning we came out strong in the first half. Both defence and attack were battling hard, with some great saves from goalkeeper Kayleigh, but unfortunately after a few missed chances the score remained 0-0 at half time.
Despite the team continuing the work rate and intensity in the second half, Oxford took control of the match and were able to score two goals early on. Despite some better passing in the second half and many great transfers between Becky, Sue and Fran, Hawks weren’t able to get past the Oxford defence to score a goal. A deflated team left the pitch but with plenty of thoughts for improvement in the next match.
