L6s turn up the heat on a cold+frosty morning to beat Kidlington

30 November 2019, 11:30, Banbury Road North (Top)

Ladies' 6s 6 - 1 Kidlington Ladies 1s

The game started off quickly with Kidlington attacking our D right from the push back. A quick ball from Phil to Linda meant that Kidlington weren’t ready for our counter attack. This caused a ball to Molly from Linda down the line, which ended with the first goal of the match within 5 minutes. Hawks continuously attacked Kidlington’s D with strong transfers across the back and down the line. Hawks fabulous play resulted in many short corners and 2 cracking goals from Lotty and 1 from Buffy. Kidlington retaliated with a goal from a short corner of their own making the score 4-1 at half time.

Kidlington came back strongly at first in the second half, winning a few short corners but thanks to our robust defence and goalie Purdy they failed to get the ball into the back of the goal. We managed to prevent the ball going into our defensive half and had many strikes on goal. From a short corner and a strong strike from Lizzie Hawks went 5-1 up.  A pass from Charlotte and a drive and strike from Lotty ended the game 6-1. Molly was voted Player of the Match for a great peformance during the game.
