Ladies' 4s 2 - 2 Thame Ladies 1s
On Saturday 23rd the Ladies 4s faced off against Thame ladies 1s. The match started in Thame's favour with them putting the attacking pressure on early with shots and a couple of penalty corners but the 4s defended well and prevented all but one chance, leaving the 1st half with a scoreline of Thame 1- 0 Hawks.
After a halftime talk accompanied with some Haribo the 4s went back onto the pitch with confidence, leading to a much better second half where the 4s had much more of the possession and made good use of it too. The first goal coming from Tara during a messy short corner bringing the scoreline level. After some more attacking chances and amazing passing Hawks got their second goal from Rebecca Black who deflected the ball into the goal through self defence as the ball came flying towards her. After retaining the 2-1 lead for a while Thame broke through and got a lucky deflection causing a final score of 2-2.
An extremely well played game by the whole team gaining the team a well deserved point.
