L6s enjoyed playing some friendly opposition Cirencester 4s

16 November 2019, 11:00, Banbury Road North (Top)

Ladies' 6s 7 - 1 Cirencester Ladies 4s

Cirencester had sought us out for a friendly match when our league opposition Buckingham had pulled out of the league - the L6s duly accepted their challenge! The first 10 minutes were scoreless, with some great attempts at goal and quite a few short corners. Then we had another short corner, with Romilly scoring a goal from a hit. Back to the centre, it was their ball and we pestered them consistently until we got a breakthrough and the ball was passed to Linda on the back line and then to the post where Lotty got a touch and directed it around the goalie and in!

We then went back and forth with some great stops from Lucy and Solveig at the back. In the second half we started off on a bad note with Cirencester scoring a goal, however we got it back and had a great run of goals. We finished with a great score of 7-1! Well done to Alessia for getting player of the match for all the great goals you scored! And thank you Linda for bringing the cake!

Thanks too to Jan for her side line captaincy and Tam for her support, haribos and wise words of wisdom at halftime.
