Ladies' 3s 2 - 1 Wallingford Ladies 1s
After a cold and wet match the week before, the sun was shining bright for the Ladies 3s. With spirits high, we came out strong, winning a short corner in the first few minutes. We took advantage of this corner with some brilliant passing, which ended up with Kasey scoring the first goal. The team was buzzing and we were determined to maintain the intensity as we ended the first half on a high as Megan Minton scoring the second goal with a straight strike.
It was a 2 nil head start for the Ladies 3s after half time, Wallingford came out strong. However, the defence put on a good fight. Unfortunately, Wallingford managed to get around and score a goal. Tensions were high as Wallingford continued to put pressure on our defenders and attack our D. Luckily, due to an excellent team performance (and some brilliant defending), the whistle was blown and it was a 2-1 victory for the Ladies 3s!
Special mention goes to Kasey for being awarded POM for some outstanding defending. DOD was Priya for the biggest smile after being awarded a green card!
