Mens 7's dont show up for first half against clinical Oxford

02 November 2019, 15:00, Banbury Road North (Near)

Men's 7s 0 - 5 Oxford Men's 7s

Despite putting Oxford under pressure for the first ten minutes, Hawks ended up 0-4 at half time. Some shocking defending from the Skipper added to the rest of the team's lack of oomph...

They did have an outstanding youngster playing up front, but that's no excuse.

Possibly,  the fact that each week we have 6/7 changes doesn't help, but that is the Men's 7s...

Second half, Hawks had most of the ball but couldn't convert. Messrs Venables and Cairns (both absent from the week before) started to make an impact but we still lost 5-0.

Theo again was outstanding, especially as he had helped out another team prior to this, his keeping really has kept us afloat this season.

Peter Hobbs shared the MoM with Theo.

Thanks to Jax and Hugh for umpiring
