L4s washed away at Wallingford

Ladies' 4s 0 - 1 Wallingford Ladies 2s
Despite miserable weather at Wallingford we tried to take inspiration from England's superb play against the All Blacks in the RWC semi-final and make sure we didn't give Wallingford any chance. We ended up much more evenly matched in the game. We had speed and skill on the ball but they had a solid press and accurate passing.
The only goal came off a pretty text book short corner, a hard hit into the bottom right hand corner of the goal.
We had other chances to equalise: Mimi's reverse, which beat the keeper, was picked out of the air by their defender. Our defence was solid maintaining just a 1-0 scoreline, especially due to some excellent keeping.
Takeaway for next game better posting up and accurate basic triangles.
