With another long journey down South, Hawks knew they were going to be up against another tough team to beat. Rightly proven by the Chiswick ladies scoring a shot off the top of the D in the first few minutes.
Suddenly this awoken Hawks to get back in the game as we maintained the ball with some good transferring round the back which led to high and wide leads made by the inners and forwards. Eventually not long after the first goal Hawks came back with a goal by Siena running the base line before passing the ball into Helen on the P spot who swiftly put the ball in the goal. Hawks were determined to get another goal as another goal was scored by Jem passing square to Rachel who pelted the ball from the top right of the D into the corner of the goal. Unfortunately Chiswick weren’t ready to give in yet as they came fighting back to make it 2-2 at half time.
In the second half we knew Chiswick were going to come back even harder than before and we had to do the same. With 20 minutes of ongoing chances in both our D and theirs it was Chiswick who stole the 3rd goal. Hawks still determined, we pushed back with possession in their third for the final 10, giving it our all but not coming away with the result we had hoped for with an unlucky 2-3 defeat.
