Ladies 6s unable to tame Thame and come away empty handed

19 October 2019, 14:30, Thame Leisure Centre

Ladies' 6s 1 - 6 Thame Ladies 2s

The game started with Thame quick to the ball and Hawks had to get back to defend. Thame used the right side of the pitch to run down and pass into the D so great defence skills came from Holly, Alice and Jan. To get the ball up to score Buffy did some great hits to the right corner for Lotty to run onto. Thame worked hard to get to the ball first and make connected passes between players which meant Hawks had to defend tight on players yet halftime came and Hawks found themselves 4 goals behind.

In the second half Hawks worked well using the sides of the pitch to pass the ball upwards and scored a goal with Buffy tapping the ball into the corner of the D. Thame looked surprised but then it was only the second goal of the season they had let in.

The game ended 6-1 and we look forward to next week where we can learn from the Thame match and get back to winning ways against Abingdon.
