Much like last week, the ladies 5s came out of the blocks quickly at the start of the first half against Marlow 4s, who were promoted with them to division 1 last season. Hawks had a lots of possession and turned that into pressure in the D. This resulted in an early goal, this time by Sherene Butler. Unfortunately the ladies 5s were unable to convert further possession into another goal and they really should have gone a couple of goals up.
Marlow gradually got back into the game, with some really strong passing around the pitch, and drew level. Towards the end of the second half Marlow put a lot of pressure on the Hawks defence, but they held strong and limited the number of shots on target they got. Hawks battled hard and held on to keep the score at 1-1, winning a second point of the season. Still much to work on but some positives to take into next week!
