03 March 2019

U12 Girls 7 - 0 Oxford U12 Girls

Hawks U12 girls were all pumped and ready on a very sunny but windy morning for the hockey game against Oxford. A couple of Hawks girls knew some of the Oxford girls from school so they were even more determined to win against them. The game began with Hawks taking an early lead in the first 3 minutes with a great goal from Zoe. Hawks had a lot of possession over the whole of the game, which helped us a lot with passes out wide into space. The team tackled hard and were eager to score. A couple of minutes later we had our next goal from Zoe once again she was on a roll then seconds later the score was 3-0 with a perfect goal from Evie. Oxford had a shot on a goal and our amazing goalkeeper Lottie saved it. Time flew by with another amazing 2 goals from Kitty and Zoe. Its was then half time and the score was 5-0. The second half began with Lydia taking the push back and then a great pass out wide to Poppy who ran down the pitch to the D and scored a brilliant goal. Back to the centre same again but this time it was Oxford's first push back. They passed it out wide to the right where Millie in defence intercepted the ball and strongly passed into the D where Lydia scored through the goalie's legs.

The final score was 7-0 to Hawks.

The team:

Lottie ( goalkeeper ), Millie ( c ), Melissa, Poppy, Kitty, Lydia, Enfield, Ameli, Zoe and Evie.
