Hawks 6th v Milton Keynes 4th

09 February 2019

Men's 6s 4 - 2 Milton Keynes Men's 4s

Hawks men’s 6s we’re flying high after 7 successive wins. We arrived in plenty of time at a windy Milton Keynes. We were delighted to welcome back Louis from injury and young Ben who made a great impression on his debut. It was a slow start but when an MK defender was caught off guard Ed pounced like a tiger and scored the first goal heroically. Excitement rushed through the veins of the team as we stepped up the standard. Hugh battled hard through illness. It was real end to end stuff with cracking quality. Half time came and went and George Guillain found himself in acres of space and slotted it home, cool as a cucumber🥒, with real panache. Right away hawks were back to it and dominated possession with George Dawson dictating the play creatively. Matt, Charlie, Will and Ash worked theirs socks off for the entire game showing great spirit. In a matter of minutes Dunners fired a ball into the D and Ed finished with aplomb. Immediately afterwards Hutts found himself in a surprising position and took his first shot at goal since 1994. Despite our best efforts we gave away two cheap goals from short corners, making the last 5 mins tense. Then Boots buried hawks’ 4th and final goal to seal the victory. The game ended 4-2 to hawks.
