Mens 7's play Champagne hockey to beat high flying Bicester

09 February 2019, 15:00, Banbury Road North (Near)

Men's 7s 3 - 0 Bicester Men's 3s

We lost to Bicester before Christmas when we should have won and this was a suitable response. Great performance by all, with the Hawks midfield really shining. Messrs Royer, Tyser and  returning Robins passing well and looking threatening going forward.

This game continued with the teams hard working and discipline which earned the draw away at Henley two weeks ago, but with much more fluid passing from the backs through to the forwards.

Andy Graham ran miles in his covering the slightly less quick members of the team, and man of the match Geoff Watson always seemed to make the vital intercept.

Nico Stott's effort and persistence paid off with two well earned goals, the other coming fron a well struck Shirley shot from the edge of the D.

Thanks to the umpires, looking forward to next week.
