12 January 2019
Ladies' 1s 2 - 5 Leamington Ladies' 1s
Hawks traveled to Leamington for their friendly after the Christmas break. Leamington came fast out of the blocks putting Hawks under early pressure scoring 3 goals in the first 8 minutes. Hawks reacted and settling into the game and made the score 3-2 with a well struck short corner from Caro Harris and a penalty flick from Becky Odlin. It was fairly even until 5 minutes from half time when Hawks' concentration lapsed again allowing Leamington to score 2 further goals.
Hawks came out strongly in the second half and demonstrated improved dominance creating a number of short corners but failing to convert. Seven goals in the first half, but then no further goals in the second! Onwards and upwards to next week's friendly fixture where Hawks face St. Albans at home.
