12 January 2019, 11:30, Banbury Road North (Top)

Ladies' 4s 2 - 3 Witney Ladies 2s

This Saturday the Hawks 4s played Witney at home.
The ladies kicked off the game with high energy levels, the attack persevering with the press, and defense and mids supporting and defending respectively.
A very impressive run down the right wing by Mimi, followed by a pass to the P spot and a tap in by Bizza led to Hawks' first goal.
By the end of the first half the score was 1-1
An great team talk by Becky lead to high spirits entering the second half.
In the second half the Hawks defense worked hard to keep up the level of defence. Some impressive transfers were made between Becky, Annabel, Lara and Eveena. Evelyn made some excellent saves from the shots from the Witney attack.
The attack tirelessly kept up the press and drives down both wings, using the half back and mids as support. Jade and Mimi made some excellent drives with support from Tiggy, Caz and Bea. This hard work paid off, and a foul in the D lead to a short corner. The ball was passed to Bea who shot, and then the rebound stopped by Mimi who slapped it in, resulting in another goal. Over the second half Witney scored twice.
The 4s played very well and many learning points were taken, well done to everybody who played!
The final score was 3-2 to the Witney girls.
