U14 Girls' A team win at Wallingford

11 November 2018

U14 Girls A 5 - 0 Wallingford U14 Girls

The sun shone down as the two teams assembled for a minute silence to commemorate the centenary of the end of the War. Hawks had won the toss giving them the first push back. Within the first 7 minutes Becky made a lovely shot into the goal and scored. There were some brilliant drives from Gabriella and Harriet meaning Hawks were dominating the game. We had a short corner and managed to score with a questionable shot from Gemma Croker but in the words of Gemma herself, ‘a goal’s a goal’. Wallingford regrouped and came back fighting. Nevertheless Hawks continued to dominate. Our defence were tested as Wallingford were making progress in their attacking half but with the help of Freya, Emily and Hannah Wallingford remained goalless. And to top it all off, Hawks managed to score two cracking goals both from Lilli Hargreaves.
