Hawks started the match really strongly and had lots of possession but could just couldn’t score until we won a short corner. We did a ‘ping-pong’ and it went in!
By half time Hawks were playing really nice hockey and it should have been more goals to us.
The start of the second half Cirencester came back quickly scoring an early goal. This caught Hawks off guard and then we started to rush trying to score one more than them. This meant Cirencester scored another goal. By this time, we were 2-1 down and still making it much harder for ourselves. The second eventually came from a great ball by Harriet through to Lucy who tapped it in.
In the last ten minutes, Hawks scored the goal they needed.it was still not over yet with Cirencester having lots of counter attacks including hitting the post. Finally, time was up and Hawks had kept their win for this cup game
