Ladies' 7s in awesome game away at Aylesbury

Ladies' 7s 1 - 2 Aylesbury Ladies 4s
On Saturday the 3rd of November, the ladies Sevens played Aylesbury away. We had a squad of 14 but soon lost Maggie who had to leave the pitch with a sore back and Solveig also had probems with a pulled hamstring. Hawks started out well, with Lottie H scoring the first goal on a short corner. We had plenty of possession and several missed opportunities that we didn’t quite convert. However, the opposition soon equalised and drew ahead to finish with an outcome that perhaps didn’t reflect the quality of play. They had a strong defence - although it was not for a lack of Hawk's attempts. It was particularly unfortunate that we didn’t have enough substitutes for each line, as the extra energy could have been very useful. The game finished with a score 2-1 to the opposition, with Pippa winning man of the match. She had an outstanding game in midfield. Well played everyone, and better luck next week.
