A short flight to St.Edwards School for our home game in the Masters League against Trojans. Although we lost a couple of our flock to illness and injury, we were still 13 strong with one debutant Eagle. The game started at great pace with Trojans putting early pressure on the Eagles nest and opened the scoring after just 8 minutes. Eagles weathered the storm and began to make flight into the Trojans half, pecking at the goal but couldn’t find the final connections. 0-1 at half-time, all to play for.
Early in the second half Trojans doubled the score following a quick free hit, which some of the Eagles flapped about as the ball had hit a Trojans talon. Eagles re-grouped and continued to flock, and swoop and prey on the Trojans goal but it wasn’t to be. Two further goals late in the game flattered the final score although Trojans were the better team on the day and deserved the 3 points.
The next murmuration of the flock can be seen in the EH O45s competition against Sonning next Sunday.
