Oxford Hawks made the journey south to face Trojans, keen to get on to winning ways after some frustrating results in prior weeks. The away side made a good positive start and earned a number of early chances but they were well saved by the home keeper. However it was Trojans who took the lead when they drove through the middle and passed to former Hawks player Cita Haines for an easy tap in. Becca Edwards was on fine form throughout, riding a number of physical tackles and playing some superb balls out of the back. Trojans had a chance to double their lead but shot wide, leaving the score 1-0 at the break.
In the second half Hawks came out strong and levelled through Jess Amps who finished off a melee from a penalty corner. However Trojans bounced straight back to retake the lead, finishing a rebound after a double save from Hawks goalkeeper Emily Munsey. Trojans struck again moments later making it an uphill battle for Hawks, but they pushed everything forwards and pulled one back when Catherine Reaney pounced on a loose clearance from the keeper. However it was all too little too late as the clock ran down giving the home side the points.
