Henley bring L4s back down to Earth with a bump

06 October 2018, 11:45, Henley HC

Ladies' 4s 1 - 4 Henley Ladies 2s

A disappointing 4-1 loss to Henley Ladies 2s on a very wet and soggy Saturday morning.

A slow first half, Lara scrambled through the brambles to retrieve the ball appearing with her legs a little shredded. A mention is a must for Evelyn who made some cracking saves, consistently clearing the D and saving the defence who were scrambling back.

A cracking goal that started with a beautiful pass from the back from Eveena down the right, resulting in a fabulous pass across the D from Jade to Bizza, who converted it into the left hand corner.

A much improved second half, with Hawks maintaining most of the possession, but unfortunately unable to convert any opportunities into the back of the net despite some awesome moments upfront from Sherene and Rebecca. Some clinical passes from Kim, Catherine and Caz switching it up in the middle, opened up the play going forward, but this time Henley got the better of us. Bethan’s amazing ariels  gave Hawks an extra dimension and helped ease the pressure.

Congratulations to Gemma who won man of the match for her Duracell bunny energy and constant scrambling for the ball.

Well played ladies, I hope you dry out by next week. Onwards and upwards to aim for a win against Aylesbury at home next week!
