L4s shine despite the snowy weather to secure a resounding win

17 March 2018, 13:00

Ladies' 4s 4 - 1 Thame Ladies 1s

With a slow start to the day Hawks Ladies 4’s got ready to play in the snow, warming up well and raring to go we wanted the win. An early goal scored by Merrick had Hawks holding their heads high battling on. With strong defences from Catherine, Lucy, Vicky, Becky and Chloe, Thame struggled to make any advances on our Goal, guarded by Linda. The attack were hungry for the win and the whole team moved forwards and put together a solid game with lots of transfers making Thame tired and frustrated.

Thame managed to skill their way to the goal making it 1-1, however Merrick managed to slide us in to the lead with yet another goal. Shortly after Hawks received a goal after Sherene and Zoe’s hard work up the wing resulted in a short corner where Zoe deflected the ball making us 3-1 up.

To seize the win Merrick topped off our fabulous game with one final goal which helped with our position in the league. Everyone had a great game putting in lots of effort and the result definitely showed this.
