L4s silence Newbury & Thatcham

24 March 2018, 10:00, Banbury Road North (Top)

Ladies' 4s 1 - 1 Newbury & Thatcham Ladies' 1s

To begin with the opposition seemed incredibly confident, blasting their music in the changing room. However what they didn't know was that we were just as ready to win.

As soon as the match started, Hawks were ready with excellent distribution and most of the possession. As a result, an amazing goal was scored by Katie Merrick. The match continued with much enthusiasm and we could tell the opposition were shaken.

However, as the match was drawing a close the opposition managed to score a goal off a short corner, much to our disappointment. Therefore, the final result was a draw but Hawks put up a strong fight and it was clear the opposition left with less confidence than they arrived with.
